Happy 35th!!!

It's had to believe that  we are not the young family anymore and that we are getting the phone calls for our daughter to babysit! It's hard to believe that we are almost to the end of our 30's (well some of us closer than others) But we are and oh how I love this stage of my life! I have a fantastic husband( even though he is gone most of the day and night) I know he is working hard for us! Back East he would already be celebrating his 35th b-day and so I wanted to get a head start on tomorrow and wish the man that I love a Happy Birthday. Thank you for all that you do for me and the kids! 143 with all my heart! May all you wishes and desires come true ( and mine too!)

Horsey Ride

He couldn't get enough of the Tiger's, although the sea otters had us in stitches (they were right up to the window and the boys just thought it was the funniest thing ever!)
Almost everyday when we are in the car and we are about going home JT will ask where are we going? I say we are going home. His reply's "NO" horsey ride!!! So today I took him to the zoo and let him ride on the carousel and said here is your Horsey Ride! He was so excited! I have never had a child so excited to see all the animals!

Hannah and I were able to spend a week with my mom and dad with 26 other people on a church history trip! We had a great time visiting Liberty, Independence, Far West, Adam-ondi-Ahman, Quincy,Nauvoo,Carthage,Garden Grove,Mt.Pisgah,Council Bluffs and Winter Quarters.

Gracie and Hannah in front of the Mansion house where Joseph and Hyrum left to Carthage never to return alive again.
Sister Nielson and her husband from our ward are serving a temple mission in the Nauvoo Temple and we were able to visit with them.

Another 3 generation picture in front of a monument in Kanesville where the Mormon Battalion left. 3 which are our ancestors
You see this man in this picture? His name is Oliver. He will stand out in Hannah and my mind as we think of this trip. He left California a non member and accepted the gospel in Nauvoo and was baptized. What a blessing we have had thank you Oliver for your strength and faith!

What do you think?

So every morning we are out the door at 7:25 am to get Haleigh to school, then we the younger 2 ride their bikes from there to school and then I walk home. I also ( a couple days a week) walk with my friends. SO Haleigh's comment today was "Everyone thinks we are poor because we walk EVERYWHERE." Is that what you think when you see people walking? Let me know!

Utah and Idaho bound

This past week and a half I packed the kids up and headed up to Utah. We had a week full of adventure! First we drove to Provo(12hrs) and stayed with uncle Tom and Aunt Susan. We attended my great uncle Layton Jones' funeral we got to hear some fun memories of him. We also got to meet Elder Russell M Nelson. He told Hannah she was an angel  (Haleigh still can't figure why he said that:). My dad flew up for the funeral and we were able to spend the day with him. After the funeral we  drove up to Kaysville and saw one of my great great great grandfather Christopher Layton's copper bathtub's along with his grave and home. Then we went back down to SLC to the temple grounds. ( we always love going there to see the beautiful grounds and brides.) Haleigh has decided that is where she wants to get married. Then we drove dad back to the airport.
Sunday we went to church with Tom and Susan. Visited Grandma and Grandpa Anthony's grave. Tom joined us as we drove up the Dam road to Bridalveil Falls where the kids had a great time throwing rocks and playing in the water. Later that night we visited my Aunt Linda  and Uncle Eric where there kids and grandkids where visiting so we had a great time playing and catching up with life. My cousin Karleigh was visiting from Oregon so it was great to see her!
Monday we hiked th Y with our good friends the Reid's who moved from Moraga to Alpine. We had a great time with them as I held JT the whole way up along with 2 bags:) Great workout! We enjoyed ice cream from the creamery with them and then spent a little more time with them at there home in Alpine. Later that night we drove down to Mapleton to meet up with some more of our awesome friends The Studderts and Ioanes that happen to live across the street from one another. We had some yummy Chinese food and remembered the good times that we shared in Tracy and Dublin. After that we drove up to Fruit Heights to stay with the Whickers. ( Everyone has there best friend couple and this is ours)We had a blast with them at Lagoon and just hanging out at their beautiful home watching movies and eating great food.
Tuesday I was able to take dinner to my cousin Shayla who is recovering from cancer and visit with her and her cute family. That night Jace ( one of the Whicker kids) had a soccer game and we went to watch and my best and favorite cousin Cyndy came by the field to visit us. It was so great to see here and her handsome family!
Wednesday was an all day event at Lagoon followed by Yummy frozen yogurt(Thanks Jeremy)
Thursday was a sad day as we said good-bye to the Whickers! Thanks for hosting us! We drove(6hours) to Idaho as we were excited to meet the newest addition to the Jones family Kaydense. Alexa joined us for the ride. We had such a great time boating, floating down the river, swimming , picnicking( Barbara and her family another favorite joined us at the park and blessing) and spending time together as Kaydense received her blessing and  Justin received the priesthood. What a great trip! Andrew flew in on Friday night and drove us home Sunday night. (10 more hours)

Now it is time to get back to life and get ready for school to start!
